Not Your Ordinary Face Mask
Looking for a better fitting re-usable mask? You found it! Each mask takes 8 pieces of fabric to assemble. What does 8 pieces mean for you? A better shape and much better coverage. I tried several prototypes before landing on this design. It covers nose and mouth and chin with minimal gaps. Plus, I added an additional layer of material in mouth area making this a 3-ply cotton mask. This is a great mask for an enclosed environment. (We have another model that's lightweight--great for outdoors when contact with people is limited.)

If you want to use a filter in your mask for added protection, you may cut a piece of blue shop towel, flannel material, vacuum cleaner bag or air conditioning filter using a simple pattern available to download in my shop--I've also included an option to just buy a filter with the material I am using. (I've also just added an option to purchase a metal nose bridge. It's adhesive, so I'm using mine on my filter, which I remove to launder.) But what is most important, is making sure your mask has minimal gaps. You can achieve this by having a good fit (instructions on how to tighten elastic straps will be sent with mask).
My 15 year old daughter and I are working together to create the masks. We've left room for helping those in need, be it giving out free masks or making donations locally with our proceeds.
